Giving Ukraine what it needs to fight

After many unfortunate delays, the US Congress finally approved a bill that contains much needed aid for the courageous people of Ukraine to continue their fight against the brutal Russian aggressors who are attempting to erase their nation from the face of the earth. It cannot be stated often enough that Ukraine’s war is OUR WAR. Funds sent to support Ukraine’s war effort represent the best return on investment that the American people can make at this time.

It is now clear that If Russia’s despotic, bloodthirsty dictator Putin is victorious in his campaign against Ukraine, he will set his sights on other European nations–many of whom are our NATO allies–and bring the United States into the war. As long as Ukraine holds the line, Putin’s vile ambitions will be held in check. In what has become a savage war of attrition, just staying in the fight is a victory.

My thanks to the many readers of this blog who made contact with their congressional representatives to press the case for passing the legislation needed to secure the funding for the noble fighters of Ukraine. Your efforts made a major difference. Our Ukrainian allies are determined to protect the sovereignty of their country and keep the beacon of freedom burning brightly.

In a recent photo from Ukraine, a determined soldier reflects the undiminished morale of a fighting force that is not about to submit to invaders who believe they can crush a free people that will never surrender. In so many WWII photos of the PT crews, I’ve seen that same fierce expression on the faces of the PT sailors who were always ready to do what was required to take the fight to the enemy.

Glory to Ukraine!

  1. What you are doing to remind everyone about how important support of Ukraine is could not be more important. It is incredible that so many in the House can not understand that this is not a misguided act of charity.

  2. One day we will find out how some Republicans were doing Putin’s biddings.
