Happy Memorial Day

Rockwell vets picture

As we approach the annual celebration of Memorial Day, we pause to honor all those who made the ultimate sacrifice while in the armed forces of the United States. I’ve always loved this Norman Rockwell painting which shows the bright, eager faces of US Servicemen. While the painting reflects those who served in World War I, those earnest and youthful faces surely represent all the men and women who have served our country over the course of its existence in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

In the midst of all the family celebrations that will be occurring over this weekend, try to take a moment and offer a few words of appreciation and thanksgiving for all of our relatives and friends who have served. We owe them more than words could ever express.

Have a happy, safe, and grateful holiday.
