As I continue my research on my father’s military service in WWII, I continue to learn what it is like to be the father of a son as he approaches adulthood. These photographs reflect my father, George Joseph and my son, Thomas George, at nearly the same age. Both photographs reflect young men who have their future before them. It amazes me how similiar their smiles are and the quiet confidence that radiates from their faces. That I am the link between them amazes me even more.
